The Passenger Assistance Training Scheme (PATS) is the nationally recognised qualification for employed and volunteer Passenger Assistants (or Passenger Escorts) ensuring a consistent standard in the care and support of passengers travelling by road transportation.

PATS is administered nationally by the Community Transport Association UK and has been designed to consider the assistance required by different members of the community.

PATS Course Contents

The PATS course is classroom and vehicle based and the trainer will assess the training needs of delegates throughout the course:

  1. The role of the Passenger Assistant - mandatory for all delegates
  2. Passenger awareness and assistance
  3. Assisting passengers who travel in wheelchairs
  4. Supervising children and young people with special needs
  5. Working with adults and children who need supervision

Standard PATS (1-3) £45
Children & young people with special needs (4) £45
Adults & children who need supervision (5) £45

All PATS courses include your delegate pack, use of safety equipment and vehicle and refreshments throughout the course.
